Welcome to Didsbury Juniors FC Mini Soccer was introduced by The Football Association a few years ago to encourage players of a younger age to get involved in the sport. Mini Soccer is played on smaller pitches than normal, to encourage players to have more touches of the ball and feel comfortable in possession.

The coaching sessions at Didsbury Juniors will be based on footskills, ball manipulation, fun based practises and game formats. The FA qualified coaches will promote touches of the ball and players will be encouraged to have a ball at their feet as often as possible. Mini Soccer can take the form of friendlies, festivals and leagues.

Saturday Mini-Soccer Coaching session
A typical session at Didsbury Juniors would be as follows:

Mini-Soccer @ Didsbury Juniors FC 9.00-9.10am Player Registration
9.10-9.20am Warm-up
9.20-10.00am Skills session
10.00-10.10am Break
10.10-10.45am Mini-Soccer Games
10.45am Player of Day Presentation

Mini Soccer is played internationally and is recognised by The FA to be the correct and appropriate format for players to develop. Mini Soccer is a platform for players to develop in a realistic and enjoyable environment whilst improving their skills and learning about the national game.

Play the Didsbury Juniors way!!
The Club prides itself on it's style of football. With the emphasis on passing and good movement, all players are encouraged to play football from the back and be comfortable on the ball. Coaching sessions are designed to develop every players technical ability and to create a high level of understanding. Teams are encouraged to keep the ball on the floor and use swift passing techniques and high-quality movement in order to succeed - no long ball or kick and rush here!! If this sounds like a Club ethos you would like to join then please contact us today!
