Latest Match Report v Bollington United, 2-6 loss
Goalscorers: Chloe Stocksley & Liam Flanagan

A disappointing performance after such a promising start last week and to the opening moments of this game. The team started brightly against a good and physically strong Bollington side. Most of the good play came down the left with Owen and Ciaran prominent in the moves. After the initial periods it was Bollington who pressed more but Didsbury who took the lead. From a free-kick, Ciaran flicked the ball over the full back to Liam who stunningly volleyed the ball past the keeper low into the far corner. It wasn't long before Bollington scored a deserved equaliser and then took the lead even though Ben in net made some excellent saves to prevent two sure-fire goals. Didsbury, to their credit, got back on level terms with a fine drive from Chloe after a nice slide-rule pass from Sam C, but were losing 3-2 at half-time after further indecision at the back. In the second half, it was Bollington on the attack, with a good rear guard action led by Thomas & Henry. Further sloppy goals were conceded without any chance creation and at the final whistle Bollington, the hungrier of the two teams, ran out convincing winners. Today's peforance against a much stronger side showed the effort, concentration and desire needed to achieve. Many under-par performances in the game, with too many players not realising that they need to concentrate on their role for the entire game, not just in patches. Finally, this should act as a real wake-up call for the players as they no know the standards they need to reach if they want to develop and improve their all round game.

Man of the Match: Henry Pickersgill - used his head well when others around him were losing theirs!
